Assistant Professor and PhD in Law (2013), Master in Historical-Legal Sciences (2003) and degree in Law (1998), from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Lecturer in the Historical-Legal Sciences Group at the same Faculty since December 1998.
Researcher at IURIS – Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, Collaborator at CEI – Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (ISCAP-Porto) and IELT – Institute for Studies in Literature and Tradition (NOVA FCSH).
Research areas: Legal profile of slavery in Portuguese Law, History of Labor Law in Portugal and in the territories under Portuguese administration, Colonial compulsory labor, Research Methodology, Second Scholasticism, Just War and Portuguese Restoration.
She has presented papers and participated in the organization of several national and international scientific events, as well as lectures in educational and dissemination events.
She has published several articles and communications, namely on the legal status of slavery and the origins of Labor Law, as well as his doctoral thesis Pessoa e Trabalho no Direito Português (1750-1878): escravo, liberto e serviçal and, more recently, História do Direito do Trabalho I – Um Direito em construção.
She is a member of the editorial board of IP – Interpretatio Prudentium ¬- Roman Law and Romanist Tradition in review, and the scientific council of RIDT – International Journal of Labor Law.
