In the following friday, 8th April 2022, the alumni Luana Marques and Margarida Silva will do the Masterclass “Making money through culture: The importance of valuing cultural aspects in the business and entrepreneurship world” that will be held in room 011, at 19h00, at ISCAP-P.PORTO. The presentation highlights the role of culture in the origin of business and its important contribution for entrepreneurship. To do so, their Masters thesis are included as two examples of this relation: “Elysian: Get your cultural game on”, with a project that focuses on the processes of integration and inclusion in professional football, and “Moving Mountains: ADIRAM as the first step”, which focuses on the importance of culture for the development of local communities.
Bionotes
Luana Marques is a junior researcher at the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI, ISCAP-P.PORTO), with a BA in Foreign Languages and Cultures (ESE-P.PORTO) and a MA in Intercultural Studies for Business (ISCAP-P.PORTO). She’s a finalist of the Fundação de Futebol Award and her main scientific research interests focus on sociocultural entrepreneurship and innovation, with an emphasis on the relationship between culture and sports.
Ana Margarida Silva is a graduate in Modern Languages, from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, and has completed her Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies for Business, at ISCAP-P.PORTO. In 2021, she started doing research at CEI, as an initiation grantee, having then extended her functions as junior researcher. She is currently collaborating with the StreetArtCEI, Ending and Augmented Assessment projects. Her research interests involve street art, cultural and creative industries, as well as social innovation and sociocultural entrepreneurship.
