Following the long-standing collaboration between the University of Latvia in Riga and CEI – Centre for Intercultural Studies, researchers Clara Sarmento, Carina Cerqueira and Inês Pires and students from the Master’s in Intercultural Studies for Business Noémia Cá, Guilherme Cavalcanti and Nuno Ribeiro are taking part in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Research Skills Booster”, which will take place in person at the University of Latvia in Riga between 9 and 14 May, after the virtual mobility that took place between 22 and 27 April 2024.
The “Research Skills Booster” programme lasted two weeks and was mixed (online and face-to-face), bringing together students and professors from four universities in Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania, with the aim of fostering intercultural dialogue between students and professors, presenting different methodologies in use in the Humanities, exploring qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods and addressing issues of research and digital literacy, as well as investigating new practices in research design, implementation and evaluation.
Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in the proceedings of the 6th International Symposium on Language for International Communication (LINCS) in Riga.
