The Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI), represented by its Integrated Researcher António Oliveira, is featured in the recently published catalog of the “Baluarte – Urban Art Exhibition”, which took place in Porto in September and October 2023, an initiative of Ágora – Cultura e Desporto E.M., S.A.
The catalog was launched during the 2nd Edition of “Baluarte – Exposição de Arte Urbana” (October 12-20, 2024), marking the year in which Porto’s Urban Art Program celebrates its tenth anniversary (2014-2024), and serves as a detailed record of the artistic interventions and works created during the event. The catalog documents the works presented, provides information on the artists involved, and highlights the initiatives and parallel program promoted by the event.
The “Baluarte – Exposição de Arte Urbana” focuses on large-scale artistic interventions and visual impact and brings together various artists in the transformation of spaces such as the Silo Auto and the Monte Pedral Barracks. In addition to the exhibitions, the events include talks, workshops, guided tours and cultural activities such as art markets and musical performances.
