Program description
Research competence secures students’ academic growth and enhances their employability. The Erasmus+ blended intensive program “Research Skills Booster” aims at fostering students’ research motivation by enhancing their research skills. The program offers a structured approach to developing research skills and critical thinking. By focusing on methodological diversity, research ethics, and the use of AI, students develop strategies to navigate the complexities of humanities research and make a meaningful contribution to the field.
Objectives
- To introduce different research methodologies used in the humanities;
- To explore qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods;
- To address digital research and information literacy issues;
- Provide approaches to research design, implementation, and assessment
Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE
- Characterise several widely used research methodologies
SKILLS
- Identify commonly used research methods, as well as digital humanities methods in qualitative and quantitative research
- Justify the topicality, theoretical, and empirical significance of the study
- Define the research aim, research question/hypothesis
- Critically assess the significance of the literature review and relate the literature review to the research question/ hypothesis
COMPETENCE
- Motivate individual methodological choices within the broader context of methodologies in the humanities
