Researchers of the Center for Intercultural Studies, Clara Sarmento and Margarida Silva, have been admitted as members of new COST Actions.
Clara Sarmento, a researcher in COST Actions CA21166 – Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience (SHiFT) and CA18126 – Writing Urban Places: New Narratives of the European City, extends her involvement in European research by joining COST Action CA20105 – Slow Memory: Transformative Practices for Times of Uneven and Accelerating Change (SlowMemo), which addresses the need for greater interdisciplinarity in our understanding of how communities confront their past in order to cope with the climatic, economic and social changes brought about by sudden events and slow, progressive transformations.
Ana Margarida Silva, already a member of COST Action CA21125 – MARGISTAR: A European forum for revitalization of marginalized mountain areas, is now also joining COST Action CA21166 – Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience (SHiFT), which seeks to address the existing challenges in promoting a timely transformation of society in the face of climate change, through the creation of a transdisciplinary platform.
