She has a degree in Social Work. She also has a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Santiago Compostela, focusing her research on Citizenship Education, a theme she had already developed in a Tutelage Research Work for her Diploma in Advanced Studies from the University of Valencia. She is a researcher at CEI – Centre for Intercultural Studies of ISCAP- P.PORTO.

She taught at the Highschool Technological degree of Sociocultural Animation and, for several years, also taught Higher Education in Portugal and Cape Verde. She has coordinated and advised several internships and university degree monographs.

In Cape Verde, she was connected to pedagogical and scientific coordination, having directed the Political Sciences, Education, and Behaviour Units that integrated the scientific fields of Sociology, Educational Sciences, Psychology, and the Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, and Educational Sciences degrees.
