
In the context of the ongoing cultural exchanges between China and Portugal, the Chinese writing competition ‘Hello, Chinese – Portugal’, organised by the Chinese Embassy in Portugal and supported by the Centre for International Language Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Education, attracted the participation of more than 20 educational institutions, receiving a total of 175 entries and counting more than 300 participants.
Three students from ISCAP-P.PORTO’s Master’s programme in Intercultural Studies for Business, studying Chinese Language and Culture (Mandarin) for Business II, Joana Catarina Coelho dos Santos, Natalya Kostenko and Rafaela Alexandra Ferreira Marques, actively prepared for the competition under the guidance of Professor Han Xiao.
After a very tough competition, Natalya Kostenko won second prize thanks to her solid knowledge of the Chinese language, and Joana Catarina Coelho dos Santos received third prize for her excellent performance.
On 4 April 2025, the event celebrating ‘International Chinese Language Day – Fourth Edition in Portugal’ was held at the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre in Lisbon (Rua da Junqueira, no. 30). During the event, the work of the students from ISCAP-P.PORTO’s Master’s programme in Intercultural Studies for Business was exhibited on site and the students were honoured at the awards ceremony.
