From November 13 to 15, 2024, the “SciArt Master Training Event” of the SciArt project – Promoting 21st-century skills through an inclusive STEAM approach to Cultural Heritage (2022-1-CY01-KA220-SCH-000086608), an interdisciplinary initiative that brings together science, art and heritage to translate complex scientific concepts with the aim of understanding local and national narratives, took place at the University of Western Macedonia in Florina, Greece.
The event brought together more than 25 participants, representing the universities, schools and museums from Greece, Cyprus and Portugal that make up the SciArt project consortium.
The Portuguese partner – the Polytechnic of Porto, through its Center for Intercultural Studies (CEI) – was represented by Inês Pires, a researcher at CEI and a finalist in the Masters in Intercultural Studies for Business at ISCAP-P.PORTO.
The event highlighted the innovative approach of the SciArt project, which combines science and art in an inclusive STEAM methodology focused on promoting cultural heritage. During the three-day Master Training Event, participants took part in collaborative activities that explored new ways of transforming teaching, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
