This is an Intensive Programme spinning from ISCAP’s strategy of internationalization and sharing of knowledge with other higher education studies.

Accompanied by our partners from France, Spain, Germany, The Czech Republic, Latvia and Romania, we seek to contribute to the building of a European identity, we feel dearly needed in our times.

It was not, therefore, by chance that the theme of translation and interpreting within the context of immigration became a relevant choice.

Within the scope of a phenomenon that has been a part of European history we have tried to make clear how fundamental the role of the translator/interpreter is in the defense of the rights of immigrants, refugees and of all those who seek asylum, as well as in the reinforcement of legal equity and safety.

These were the ideals that guided us throughout the past 3 years, and that we sincerely expect will have some echo in your future personal, academic and professional lives.

I thank all those who are here, for participating with commitment, for working hard in organizational tasks, for sharing expertise in various domains, and for all institutional backing of this IP 2014.
