It was in Canada that the young Portuguese duo Pedrosa/Campos won the gold for Portugal at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.
After Miguel Maia and João Brenha had made history in Russia, João Pedrosa, a student at ISCAP, and its partner won the Beach Pro Tour Challenge Edmonton final beating the Norwegian duo Mol/Berntsen and achieved a long-awaited milestone.
Furthermore, they’ve become the first Portuguese duo to win a Beach Volleyball World Tour event.
"I think it was an incredible tournament. I still don't believe we were able to navigate through qualification and now we hold the gold medal in our hand", said João Pedrosa to the news agency Lusa.
The result of a strong journey that ended with an incredible game at the final which leaves all Portuguese dreaming for more!
