The evolution of Higher Education: a comparative analysis between Portugal and Europe

Abstract

This work proposes to carry out an analysis of global data on higher education in Europe and more specifically those from Portugal. There are several studies already carried out at this level, namely with deeper analyzes using qualitative and quantitative data analysis, to measure the effectiveness and efÏciency of higher education institutions (HEI), which will be used to support the work we propose, whose data refer to the years between 2017 and 2021. Overall, there is an improvement in results at a global level in Europe and Portugal, but in the latter, despite the slight growth, the values are still below the European average.
