The Impact of leadership in employee turnover

This article disseminates the impact of leadership on employee turnover, with the aim of understanding the dimension that this phenomenon has for organizations. Through data collection via questionnaire, and statistical analysis, a factor analysis reveals the importance of efficient leadership to the detriment of turnover intentions. Those questioned in this study who have worked in the organization for the longest time are those who would not recommend it to others, and feel their work is less recognized, reinforcing the demand for a present leader, with a view to achieving personal and organizational growth. In addition, the relevance of leaders is understood, as holders of the capability of influencing others and providing motivation to employees leading to greater levels of satisfaction and organizational commitment. Therefore, it is essential to invest in high-qualification of the individuals and value them, making them unique and valuable in the market, to guarantee the survival and growth of the organizations.
