Abstract

This article refers to the legal regime of telework, in the private sector, and the importance of cybersecurity in the work context. Globalization and technological progress bring advances and transformations in the world of work - namely, in telework – but they also originate threats that must be prevented - in particular, information security. The world of work is progressively changing. The Covid-19 pandemic had a strong impact on the labor paradigm. These circumstances originated deep changes in work organization,
especially in the unprecedented application of teleworking in Portugal. The recent legislative changes to the legal regime of telework in the Labor Code manifest this preoccupation. The analysis of the legal frame allows a reflection on the current regimen and, in particular, on the future opportunities and inherent challenges.
