View No. 33 (2024): Special Issue - Focus on People - diversity, sustainability and digitalisation

The challenges of diversity, sustainability and digitalisation are crucial issues facing contemporary reality in all dimensions of human activity. It is imperative that the organisational fabric prioritises these challenges on its agenda, and that Human Resources management and development take these axes as the centre of its strategy and the basis of its operations.

In its 11th edition, the International Conference on Research and Intervention in Human Resources aims, as always, to encourage the academic and professional Human Resources community to meet again on pressing Human Resources issues, this year in its original context - the Polytechnic of Porto. The aim is to promote technical-scientific reflection on the three unavoidable dimensions of the current focus on people management: digitalisation, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability in HR.

In this special issue of Revista de Ciências Empresariais e Jurídicas, we have put together a selection of papers presented at the conference, offering an in-depth look at pressing issues when the focus is on people. This compilation provides an opportunity to explore the contemporary and imminent challenges facing People Management.
