Comparative study of platforms for eCommerce solutions

The growth of e-commerce has triggered the creation of different business models, each with different characteristics and, consequently, with different needs. Thus, different platforms have been created that allow the creation of online stores and businesses in a free and easy way, without resorting to services provided by third parties.
This article aims to make a comparative study, contributing with an updated document about the state of the art in this field. To make it possible, the different types of existing e-commerce business models were defined, the different needs were understood, and existing platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla and Magento and their respective functionalities were analyzed in order to understand which business model they are suitable for.
