Impacts of eCommerce on Environmental Sustainability

Electronic commerce (EC) impacts environmental sustainability. The impacts can be positive, but also negative. Therefore, to adequately understand the possible impacts of the EC for environmental sustainability, a systematic literature review was carried out, which resulted in a better understanding of the theoretical foundations of sustainability and its environmental component, as well as the relationship between electronic commerce and sustainability. The article aims to provide sufficient knowledge to understand the positive and negative consequences of electronic commerce on environmental sustainability from a proper perspective.
