Abstract

Abstract

This research analyzes the metaverse and NFT products, describing the main concepts, opportunities and challenges.

In recent years, the metaverse has expanded exponentially and, with the development of Blockchain technology, the NFT product market has achieved enormous growth, attracting countless investors and collectors. This new technology ensures high security from the point of view of transactions and data conservation, in addition to always identifying the creator and previous owners of any NFT product, and these features can boost the development of various areas, from video games to art. On the other hand, because it is a reality that is still little explored, especially from a scientific point of view, this growth raises great doubts and challenges at various levels, from the difficulty in pricing NFT products to the need to create specific laws in several countries.

For this investigation, a literature review of articles associated with the metaverse and NFT products was made, with the objective of identifying the main concepts, problems and potentialities of these themes.
