Editorial

The post-COVID-19 world is clearly more digital than in the past and courses like the Master in e-Business (MNE) are relevant to train our country's professionals to think about activities carried out online or supported at some point by the digital. This journal presents the work of junior researchers carried out in the context of the course unit "Research methodologies and Scientific Communication", which has the guidance of teachers/senior-researchers of the School of Business Sciences (ISCAP) of the Polytechnic of Porto and other schools/faculties of higher education in Portugal.

Digital was undoubtedly one of the lifeline for organisations during the total blackout of the world caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. A large part of the organisations were forced into a digital transformation in order to be able to continue with their activities. Those that had already set out on the path were able to respond more effectively. This is undoubtedly an important theme in the global context and, therefore, at the MNE we have been studying it, which is reflected in the works presented in this edition of our magazine.

In addition to this theme, artificial intelligence (AI) is a topic that interests students, since most of the papers focus on the implications at many levels of the use of AI techniques or practices in electronic business. It is also undoubtedly a topic on the agenda and very appealing to young people.

In addition to these two major thematic groups, there are also other papers/studies on sales practices using the social network space. The students focus on the theme of advertising on social networks as an influencer of impulse buying or even on the role of social shopping as an e-commerce strategy.

This second edition of the magazine reveals a great dynamic of work at the MNE and, even more importantly, a very strong relationship of this working group of the Academy with the world we live in, working on current and relevant issues that we hope will help organisations to be better positioned in their context, responding more effectively to the challenges of the world. We hope that this edition will be a space for sharing knowledge, and a window into the world of the work carried out in MNE.

We wish you enjoyable reading!
